How much does a proposal in Cabo cost?

Last updated 7 September 2026

A styled proposal in Los Cabos runs from about 1,499 USD. Our boat packages are 1,499 USD for two on a 25ft trimaran, 1,950 USD on a 35ft catamaran and 2,350 USD on a 65ft Sea Ray, all inclusive. Beach and private dinner setups are quoted per event and generally sit below the boat packages.

Almost every couple asks this first, and almost every planner avoids answering it. You get a contact form instead of a number, then a call, then a proposal deck. We would rather just tell you.

What our packages actually cost

PackagePriceTimeMariachi and photos
25ft trimaran1,499 USD3.5 hoursAdd on
35ft catamaran1,950 USD3 hoursIncluded
65ft Sea Ray2,350 USD2 hoursIncluded
65ft Sea Ray2,750 USD3 hoursIncluded

All four are for two people and all four include the floral setup, the decor and the drinks. The trimaran is the cheapest and also the longest on the water, which surprises people. The Sea Ray costs more because it is a considerably larger boat with a salon and a cabin below deck.

The extras, priced

  • Live mariachi, one hour. About 375 USD where it is not already included in the package.
  • Photography package. About 275 USD on its own. Included in both yacht packages.
  • Hotel room decorated while you are out. 250 USD. Balloons, petal hearts and candles waiting when you get back.
  • Fireworks, videographer, drone. Quoted per event, because all three depend on the location and the permissions on the night.

Why quotes vary so much

Two quotes for the same beach setup can differ by half, and it is almost never the same product. The gap is usually photography, teardown, or florals. A cheap quote often has you paying a photographer separately, or leaves the setup for you to deal with afterward.

Three questions settle it before you pay anyone:

  • Is photography included, or separate? This is the single biggest swing in a quote. The whole point of a proposal setup is that you can look at it again afterward.
  • Who takes it down, and is that charged? Somebody has to clear a beach installation. If it is not in the quote, it is either an extra or it is you.
  • Does anything get added on the day? Ask for the total, in writing, before the deposit. Nothing should appear on a final invoice after the moment has already happened.

What drives the number

The setting is the biggest factor. A private boat carries a fixed charter cost before anyone has arranged a single flower. That is why the water is the most expensive way to propose in Cabo and why beach setups start lower.

The size of the installation is next. A candle circle for two and a full floral arch with a dinner table afterward are not the same build, the same crew or the same number of hours.

Guest numbers change everything. A proposal for two is a different job from one where twelve people are hidden nearby and then stay for dinner. Tell your planner the real number early, because it changes which locations even work.

The date matters more than people expect. High season in Los Cabos runs November through April, plus Valentine's week, Christmas and New Year. Those are the dates when the good sunset slots and the boats go first, and when flexibility costs you the most.

Can you do it for less?

Yes, and we will tell you how rather than pretend otherwise. A beach setup at sunset with florals, a signature piece and a photographer costs less than any boat. Going midweek instead of a weekend helps. So does going in low season, when everything is easier to secure.

What we would not do is cut the photography to save a few hundred dollars. You are buying a moment that lasts about twelve minutes. The photographs are the only part of it you still have next year.

Tell us your number. If you have a figure in mind, send it. We will come back with what it genuinely buys in Cabo, including when the honest answer is that a beach setup gives you a better moment than a boat for the same money.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a proposal in Cabo cost?

Our boat proposal packages start at 1,499 USD for two, all inclusive, on a 25ft trimaran over three and a half hours. A 35ft catamaran is 1,950 USD over three hours and a 65ft Sea Ray is 2,350 USD for two hours or 2,750 USD for three. Beach and dinner setups are quoted individually.

What should be included in a Cabo proposal quote?

A complete quote covers design, decor and florals, setup and teardown, the staff on site and photography. Ask specifically whether photography is included or extra, whether teardown is charged separately, and whether anything is added on the day. Those three answers separate a real fixed price from a low headline number.

Why do proposal quotes in Cabo vary so much?

Because they cover different things. A low quote often excludes photography, excludes teardown, or uses florals ordered in that morning. The setting drives cost too. A private boat charter carries a fixed cost that a beach setup does not, which is why the water is the most expensive option.

Is a yacht proposal worth the extra cost in Cabo?

It buys privacy that no public beach can. On a private charter nobody can walk into the shot, the crew works to your timing, and El Arco sits behind you the whole time. If privacy matters more than budget, it is the only setting that guarantees it outright.

How much should I budget for extras?

Live mariachi runs about 375 USD for an hour where it is not already included. A photography package is about 275 USD on its own. A hotel room decorated while you are out is 250 USD. Fireworks, a videographer and a drone are quoted per event.
