A beach proposal in Cabo is a styled setup on the sand, most often at Playa Monumentos, Medano Beach, 8 Cascadas or a private stretch along the Corridor. Cabo Proposals designs the decor, arranges the florals by hand, positions a hidden photographer and times the moment to sunset, typically forty minutes before it drops.
The beach is the reason most couples come to Los Cabos to propose. It is also the setting with the most that can go wrong: the wrong stretch of sand, a setup facing away from the light, or a photographer standing so obviously in frame that she works it out before you kneel.
What is included
What a styled beach setup involves
- The structure. A draped arch, a floral installation or a candle circle, chosen to suit the beach and the wind that day.
- Florals. Arrangements designed in your colours and built by us, plus a petal path or a heart on the sand.
- Seating and styling. Rugs, cushions, lanterns, a low table and a cooler with champagne on ice.
- Lighting. Candles in hurricane glass and warm festoon lighting for setups that run past dusk.
- The signage. A marquee letter set, a custom sign or a message written large enough to read from the photos.
- Access and teardown. Vehicle or boat access for the crew, the build before you arrive, and the clear down afterwards.
- Photography. A photographer in position before you arrive, shooting the approach, the knee and the reaction.
- A planner on site. Someone from our team present throughout, out of frame, running the timing.
Optional add ons: live saxophone, violin or full mariachi, a fireworks finale, a drone, a videographer, a dinner service set up on the sand after the yes, and transport from your hotel with a cover story built in.

Playa Monumentos
Best sunset lightA surf beach at the western edge of Cabo San Lucas, backed by large rock formations that throw long silhouettes as the sun drops. It is the strongest light of any beach we work on, which is why it appears in so many of our photographs. The water is not safe for swimming, so the setup is built back from the surf line and the beach is treated as scenery rather than somewhere you wade into.

Medano Beach
Easiest to styleThe main swimmable beach in Cabo San Lucas, facing the bay and El Arco. Vehicles reach it, which means we can build a full installation: a large arch, dinner service, a band, lighting. It is the busiest beach in Cabo, so we stage toward the quieter end and time it late in the afternoon as the crowd thins.

8 Cascadas
Quieter than MedanoThe beach immediately beside Medano in Cabo San Lucas. It shares the same bay and the same easy vehicle access, but without the vendors, the water sports and the foot traffic that run the length of Medano itself. For most couples this is the better of the two: everything Medano gives you in scale and convenience, with a fraction of the crowd walking through the background of your photographs.

Private and Corridor beaches
Most privateStretches of coastline along the Tourist Corridor between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, including beachfronts attached to private villas and resorts. Nobody walks through the shot. This is what we recommend when privacy matters more than the postcard view, or when the proposal is followed by a dinner for a group.

Timing
Why the hour matters more than the day
The best time for a beach proposal in Cabo is roughly forty minutes before sunset, when the light is low and warm and the beach has emptied. Sunset ranges from about 6:15pm in December to about 8:00pm in June, so we fix the exact minute once your date is confirmed and build the schedule backward from it.
That means the cover story has to survive a specific arrival time. We normally brief a driver or your hotel concierge so that getting her to the beach at the right minute looks like an accident: a dinner reservation, a sunset walk, a drink at a bar that happens to be nearby. You do not have to be a good liar. You just have to show up.

What a beach proposal costs
Every beach proposal is quoted as one fixed all inclusive price covering design, decor, florals, setup, teardown, staff and photography. The figure moves with the beach, the size of the installation and add ons such as live music or fireworks. You approve the number before anything is paid.
We do not publish a single headline price because a candle circle for two at Playa Monumentos and a full arch with mariachi and dinner for twelve on a private beach are not the same product. Send your date and roughly what you picture and you will get a real number, not a range designed to get you on a call.

Who actually builds the setup on the day?
We do. Blanca and the team carry everything in, build it, style it and take it down again afterward. The florals are designed and arranged by us rather than handed to a supplier, which is why the colours match what you asked for and why the setup looks the same when you arrive as it did in the design.

Can you swim or is the water rough?
It varies by beach. Medano Beach is calm and swimmable. The Pacific side, including Divorce Beach, has a severe undertow and is not safe for swimming at all. We only stage setups where the water conditions match what you plan to do.
What if other people are on the beach?
On public beaches we position the setup away from foot traffic, stage at the quieter end and time it for late afternoon when crowds thin. For guaranteed privacy we use a private stretch along the Corridor or a villa beachfront instead.
